John Pelham, an instructor with TwentyEighty, has more than 20 years of project management experience in various fields including retail, banking, IT, and construction.  He has successfully managed projects as diverse as the redevelopment of city-centre sites for light industrial and commercial purposes, and the development and networking of software applications. Mr. Pelham has also been involved in the planning, organization, and leadership of international refugee relief missions for a UK-based charity.

During the early 1990s, Mr. Pelham was head of project management for the British Post Office Counters (POCL) business property division covering the north of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. He was then appointed the first business project manager for POCL, where he managed major and strategic projects and programs, and led teams of project managers, surveyors, and planning engineers.

Over the years, to enhance his hands-on experience, Mr. Pelham has pursued many courses of business and project management studies up to the master’s level. As POCL’s business project manager, he sponsored project management training for the business. Upon leaving the company in 1997, it was a natural progression for him to move into project management training consulting. He has been involved with numerous well-known client companies and organizations, and has led workshops on project risk management at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Mr. Pelham is a Prince 2 practitioner and a member of the Association for Project Management (APM) and the Project Management Institute (PMI®).
